Vlacherna Monastery

The Vlacherna monastery is the only building on the tiny islet and it dates back to 17 or 18 century.

On the island of Corfu there are not just lovely beaches to look at and spend your summer days by the seaside. Corfu is also lucky enough to offer amazing sites with superb views. From Vlacherna Monastery, for example, you can enjoy the best views to Pontikonissi Island widely-known as “Mouse Island”. The construction of Vlacherna Monastery includes also a church, situated on a very small, tiny islet, connected to the mainland through a narrow bridge. It is notable that the whole scenery that Pontikonissi Island and Vlacherna Monastery create is one of the most visited and photographed spots on the island of Corfu. Why not capture your holiday memories with a photo in front of this magnificent scenery straight out of painting?
